I'm not so good at this Blog thing

Well, as everyone can see, I haven't kept up with this blog. Been keeping very busy quilting my way thru life and waiting for a new grandchild. Speaking of which, Kennedy Linea Bell was born on April 20, 2008 at 12:31 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 7 oz., 19 1/4" tall, dark hair, and cute as a button. Her big sister Delaney now two years old is loving having a little sister. No jealousy has been seen since Kennedy came home. Delaney is very gentle with her, and gets upset when she cries.

We just came back from two weeks in Colorado so see everyone and meet Kennedy. Delaney is such a big girl now, not really in stature, just in maturity. She definitely is living her life in the "terrible two's" but is very verbal and knows exactly what she is talking about. Sometimes it takes us a minute to figure it out, but when we do, it all makes sense.

Delaney now has a bigger room with a "Princess" bed. That's what she calls her new twin sleigh bed with a trundle. She is so excited about the new bed and room, but not so excited that she wants to give up her crib to Kennedy. She told us that "baby to little" for the bed when we tried to put her into the crib. Once she gets into her new big girl bed, she'll forget all about the crib. Renee will try naps for a while to see how it goes, then she'll put Kennedy into her room and Delaney will enjoy the "Princess" room.

We got to see all our kids this trip, but that doesn't surprise anyone, I'm sure. We took Scott the "Sea-Mist" truck. Gary had promised it to him years ago and it seemed like the perfect time to scale down to one vehicle for us. It's definitely in a good home because Scott already has done some renovations on the truck to suit himself. Gary has a slight pang in his heart having given up the truck, but definitely knows it's in good hands. At least it's in the family.

We went with Jeff to a competition that Shawna (his girlfriend) was competing in. She was in the figure portion of the competition and took second place. This was only her second competition and she took second both times. One more competition in June and she can go pro. She is definitely suited for body building (figure) competitions. She is very dedicated to staying healthy and it shows. Jeff is very proud of her. He now works for Echostar in the IT Dept. He recently went on nights with Sunday/Monday off and that totally interfers with his seeing Shawna. I hope that there will be the ability to change around so he can have a more normal shift in the future.

Jordyn who is 14 and in the 9th grade will soon be out of school for the summer. She will be in a hip hop competition in June. She loves to hip hop dance. We are hoping that she will be visiting us for the summer sometime soon as well. We plan to go to the Painted Desert, do some bowling, movies, bike riding, going out on Show Low Lake and just hanging out. Hopefully she will bring a friend to help keep her busy.

Gary and I are looking not so forward to painting our decks and yard work. It's not very difficult to keep up our property, mostly rock and shrubs and trees. But those darn weeds rear their ugly heads and that's what takes time. Gary is also looking forward to no bowling on Tuesday for the summer, taking hikes and playing old people softball. I'm looking forward to riding my bike, walking the "hood", bowling for fun and making more quilts. I got a new embrodiery sewing machine and can't wait to see what all it can do.

Well, that's it for now. Hopefully I can add more as the summer goes on. Love to everyone.
